Lead a team of HW designers to design and develop hardware modules for battery management systems (LV and HV). Responsibilities include project scope definition, functional safety, requirement analysis in DOORS, circuit design, PCB layout review, component selection, documentation, FMEA/FMEDA, simulations, and HW verification/validation per LV124/ISO 16750 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware design team for BMS modules (LV & HV)
  • Define project scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation
  • Conduct requirement analysis and manage in DOORS
  • Design electronic circuits & create creepage distance matrices
  • Review PCB layouts and select components using DAR
  • Document development processes (design docs, test plans, reports)
  • Perform FMEA, FMEDA, DRBFM analyses
  • Conduct Monte Carlo simulations & worst case calculations
  • Perform HW Verification & support validation (LV124/ISO 16750)
  • Handle lab equipment for testing and debugging

Requirements

  • B.Tech / M.Tech degree
  • 10-16 years of experience in hardware design
  • Functional Safety expertise (ISO 26262)
  • Experience with DOORS for requirement management
  • PCN/PTN process knowledge
  • Analog, Digital & Power Electronics circuit design
  • Lab equipment handling (Oscilloscope, HV power supply, function generator)
  • FMEA, FMEDA, DRBFM experience
  • Monte Carlo simulations & worst case calculations
  • HV testing experience (added advantage)
  • Hands-on soldering experience
  • Good communication skills & MS Office proficiency
