This position is responsible for maintaining and improving customer satisfaction related to quality metrics, and tracking, analyzing, and improving BU metrics (FFT, Rework, and Scrap). Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Assignments are broad and usually require originality and ingenuity. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Essential duties include serving as primary customer and internal contact for quality issues, leading corrective action teams, preparing PPAP documentation, participating in APQP process, internal auditing to IATF 16949 standard, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve customer satisfaction related to quality metrics
- Track, analyze, and improve BU metrics (FFT, rework, scrap)
- Serve as primary customer and internal contact for quality issues
- Lead corrective action teams using quality tools
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation, control plans, Quality Alerts
- Participate in Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs development
- Implement and analyze SPC / process capability data
- Review warranty returns and trends with aftermarket group
- Support APQP process for new program launches
- Internal auditing to IATF 16949 standard
- Coordinate and facilitate customer audits
- Support continuous improvement for safety, quality, and productivity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University
- 3-5 years related experience in engineering or technical operations
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Capability to learn other software packages (SAP, Axalant, Test Software)
- Ability to work in office and manufacturing assembly environment
- Ability to stand/walk up to 2 hours at a time, lift up to 45 pounds occasionally
